Probe Advanced Power Electronics Group (PAPE) designs, develops, and manufactures power electronic components and systems to overcome major technical barriers to the commercialization of hybrid, advanced internal combustion, and fuel cell, and power generation.

Our research focuses on developing advanced power electronics and electronic controllers that improve reliability, efficiency, and ruggedness, and decrease systems costs for advanced vehicles, and power generation systems. Key components include the electronic controllers, DC to DC converters, and inverters that condition the electrical signal between the power generation units (a fuel cell or battery) and the electric motor to provide power to various components.
